         JAYJ's WW2 FIGHTERS LUFTWAFFE CAMPAIGN
**********************************************************

First off, thanks for downloading my campaign. This is my
second one (the first one was an RAF 15 mission campaign)
and has more "stuff" than the first one. This one includes
cinema's and a branching campaign as well as a Word format
document I made detailing the 'history' up to the point of
the campaign itself. It's not necessary to read it to play
the campaign but it does help give it some depth.*

************
INSTALLATION
************

Simply dump all the mission files (*.mis) into the 'Missions'
folder and dump the campaign file (luftwaffe.cmp) into the
'Campaigns' folder. That's it! Run WW2 Fighters and select
'Campaign' from the kiosk, click on 'Custom' using the tab on
the lower left of the screen, then select 'LUFTWAFFE'. You're
ready to fly for the Fatherland! (Don't forget to give your-
self a callsign!)

CAMPAIGN INFO
*************

The LUFTWAFFE campaign is 19 missions long. As stated earlier
it is branching in nature so winning and losing missions will
have an outcome during the battle on how well you do. Will you
be able to push the Allies back into France or will they push
you back into Germany? It's entirely up to you and your squad.

For those of you who flew the RAF campaign, you'll see similar
'features' namely the names of pilots and those of Allied heavy
bombers. In this campaign I've expanded it a little to include:

1) Enemy Ace names: (so you can change history.) :)
2) German pilot 'rankings': (this is just a visual aid and in
no way meant to be accurate. This is the method I've used
to describe the AI of your flight
a)MAJOR = ACE (abbreviated as 'Maj')
   b)HAUPTMANN = VETERAN ('Hpt')
   c)OBERLEUTNANT = EXPERIENCED ('Olt')
   d)FELDWEBEL = ROOKIE ('Fw')

KNOWN PROBLEMS
**************

There are a couple of minor snafu's I've encountered in the
course of making this campaign, none of them serious (thank
goodness):

1) In the second mission, you start on the runway in a Bf-109.
When the mission starts your plane seems to drop out of the
sky about 10 feet and land on the ground damaging your gear.
If you get your gear up quickly soon after you clear the
ground you should have no problem. I tried it with different
planes and positions with always the same result. I think
it may be connected with the dynamic mission editor which I
   used to make this mission.

2) In mission(s) 17 you are to take out two of three hangars
at an Allied airfield. In actuality the FIRST TWO hangars
closest to you when you spot them are the targets...the
furthest one is irrelevant. Most of the time your flight
hits them anyways but sometimes they don't. One way I
found to take them out is to simply strafe the hangars them-
selves. After a bomb explosion, even if they are still
standing they are weakened so they crumble easily under some
   concentrated firepower.

SUCKING UP

I hope you enjoy the campaign. I enjoyed making it but I can't
take all the credit. I have received great support and tech-
nical help from all my fellow WW2 Fighter pilots at:

fansite on the web. This one's for all of you guys. Thanks
and have fun!!
